RowSure user guide
Spreadsheet-style catalogue maintenance with staged review and verified writes.
Install (admin)
Install RowSure through Zoho Marketplace, select the Zoho Inventory organisation, and authorise the requested ZohoInventory.items.READ and ZohoInventory.items.UPDATE scopes. RowSure does not request Item CREATE or DELETE in v1. After installation, open RowSure from the Zoho Inventory Web Tabs area.
Load and choose fields
RowSure loads ordinary Items available to the authorised Zoho user. Use Search, Status, View, Sort and Rows controls. Manage columns provides presets plus an auto-saved My columns layout. Normal Item custom fields discovered from Zoho can be shown without forcing every custom field into the default grid.
Edit or paste
Edit individual cells or paste a rectangular block from Excel/Google Sheets. Changes remain staged locally; editing a cell does not write to Zoho.
Capability-dependent fields
Purchase Price/Purchase Description require the Item's Purchase Information capability. Reorder Level requires inventory tracking. Unavailable cells are disabled and explain why on hover.
Review
Click Review changes. Changes are grouped by Item so all staged fields for a product can be audited together. Resolve blocking validation issues before Apply.
Apply results
- Applied + verified: RowSure re-read Zoho and confirmed the intended state.
- Skipped — conflict: a target value changed after RowSure loaded it; the newer Zoho value was protected.
- Failed: Zoho rejected the write and the pre-write values remain.
- Needs review: RowSure could not prove the final state even after an individual re-check.
Undo / restore
Undo is conflict-aware. It only restores a field if the current Zoho value is still the value produced by the batch; later edits are protected.
Local drafts and Recent batches
Drafts, My columns preferences, restore points and Recent batches use browser-local storage scoped to the current Zoho organisation/user. Export history if you need an external receipt.
Current scope
Common supported fields: Item Name, SKU, Selling/Purchase Price, Reorder Level, MPN, UPC, EAN, ISBN, Sales/Purchase Description, plus normal runtime-discovered Item custom fields where safely represented.
Not v1: stock adjustments, Price Lists, Composite Item structure, serial/batch operations, product images, create/delete, and generic vendor/account/tax/unit relationship editing.
Support
Use the in-app Feedback button or email support@rowsure.app. Please do not email sensitive catalogue exports unless support explicitly asks for a minimal example and you are comfortable sharing it.
